A Tennessee man was arrested afterĀ failing to rob a gas station. The Memphis Police Department said that 26-year-oldĀ Reginald CookĀ walked into a Shell gas station near Elvis Presley's Graceland around 2 a.m. on Tuesday (April 16) and made a purchase.

About 30 minutes later, Cook returned and demanded money from the cashier. He implied he had a weapon, but the cashier refused to open the register, and Cook left.

About 35 minutes later, he returned, this timeĀ with a live five-foot snake draped around his neck. He ordered the cashier to open the register, reaching into his bag, implying he had a gun.

The cashier then drew his own and called 911. When officers arrived, they took Cook into custody. They found a railroad spike and a rock in his bag.

Cook was charged with two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.

According toĀ WREG,Ā Cook's family went to the gas station to apologizeĀ for his actions and offered to pay for any damages.
