Marshawn Lynch May Return To Raiders If They Want Him

The Oakland Raiders just drafted Josh Jacobs in the first round and are Doug Martin in the wake of Isaiah Crowell’s season-ending Achilles injury.

And that means they will head into training camp with six running backs on their roster as they also currently have Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington, James Butler and Chris Warren.

So why not make it a lucky seven and have Marshawn Lynch come back and play one more season with his hometown team?

Sure, recent reports indicated he was set to retire. Though, his mom with a single tweet.

And add this tweet to it from Steve Wyche, who is a slightly more reliable source than “momma Beast Mode,” that said:

“If the Raiders want him, RB Marshawn Lynch would return.”

Lynch was effective in Oakland last year when healthy. He suffered a season-ending groin injury and was placed on injured reserve in October, but he still finished the season with 376 yards (4.2 yards per carry) and three touchdowns on the ground.

At this point, it seems like Lynch rejoining the Raiders is a long shot. But the team could do a lot worse than bringing in an Oakland legend for its final season in that city.
