Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a large fire at a Schertz hotel, leaving three people hurt. It happened last night at the La Quinta Inn in the San Antonio-area city. Flames were seen shooting from the roof as more than 140 people were evacuated. Three guests were treated and released at the scene. The hotel suffered extensive water, fire and smoke damage.
Aid was provided by San Antonio, Live Oak, New Braunfels, Cibolo, Selma, Bracken, Universal City and Randolph fire departments. St. Hedwig and New Berlin fire departments also assisted by backfilling Schertz fire stations while crews responded to the fire.
