Houston church heavily damaged in 2-alarm fire

Firefighters battled a fire at an historic church in the Houston Friday afternoon. The 2-alarm blaze heavily damaged St. Mark's United Methodist Church in the 600 block of Pecore. Photos tweeted by the Houston Fire Department showed flames coming out of the second floor. The roof of the structure was reportedly heavily damaged. No one was injured. An investigation is underway into what caused the fire.
