Hill Country Cities Threaten To Sue Feds Over Permian Pipeline

Legal office of lawyers, justice and law concept : Wooden judge gavel or a wood hammer and a soundboard used by a judge person on a desk in a courtroom with a blurred brass scale of justice behind.

Several cities in the Hill Country could sue federal agencies over endangered species issues related to the Permian pipeline project. San Marcos, Kyle, Austin, the Barton Springs Aquifer Conservation District and the Wimberley Valley Watershed Association sent a Notice of Intent letter to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The letter says if the named federal entities do not hold pipeline owners Kinder Morgan to task on conformity with the Endangered Species Act, the parties who signed the letter will sue those agencies.
