Six More Houston Cops Indicted In 2019 Deadly Botched Raid

Six Houston police officers are under indictment and could get years in prison in connection with a deadly botched drug raid. Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced the indictment today, saying the officers were involved in organized criminal activity by stealing overtime for the January 2019 raid which left Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas dead. Officer Felipe Gallegos is charged with murder in shooting Tuttle. Officers originally said they raided the home because the pair was dealing heroin, but no drugs were found. Prosecutors say a now-retired cop lied to get a no-knock warrant. That ex-officer, Gerald Goines, is already under indictment for murder.
