The Department of Motor Vehicles is warning Texans about scam emails and texts claiming they are from the DMV. The department says the messages are not from the Texas DMV and are actually from cyber criminals. These messages are meant to steal Texan's private information or put harmful files on people's computers. The DMV advises residents to not click on any links sent in these emails or texts. The department will never reach out directly by email or text requesting personal information.
