GOP Rep. Jim Jordan Exposes Dr. Fauci’s Double Standard

After demanding we close the schools, the economy, churches & sports, suddenly Dr. Fauci doesn’t have an opinion when he’s grilled by Jim Jordan on whether the protests, rioting & looting nationwide help spread COVID-19.

Fauci tried to weasel his way out of answering Jim Jordan’s question during a hearing before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis on Friday.

Rep. Jordan asked “so the protests don't increase the spread of the virus?”

Fauci responded saying “crowding together particularly when you’re not wearing a mask contributes to the spread of the virus.”Jordan then asked Fauci, "Should the government limit the protesting?"

Fauci said “I don't think that's relevant. I'm not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way."

As Jordan rightfully pointed out “You make all kinds of recommendations. You've made comments on dating, on baseball, on everything you can imagine...Is there a world where the Constitution says you can favor one First Amendment liberty — protesting — over another — practicing your faith?"

Fauci then said“I'm not favoring anybody over anybody...I'm just making a statement that's a broad statement, that avoid crowds of any type, no matter where you are, because that leads to the acquisition and transmission. And I don't judge one crowd versus another crowd. When you're in a crowd, particularly if you're not wearing a mask, that induces the spread."

For the past several months, Fauci has lectured Americans about what should and shouldn’t do but now that he is asked about the protests, suddenly he’s got no opinion.

As Tucker Carlson points out:

“There is nothing Dr. Anthony Fauci won't opine on as long as it doesn't offend the popular and fashionable left....Fauci is 79, but maybe if he had like 22-year-old kids who were trying to make their way in this world in an economy that is headed down the tubes, thanks largely to his recommendations, he would feel differently...
It's not merely an inconvenience when your economy collapses. It's the end of the American dream. That's not a small thing. Maybe it's worth it. Maybe it's not, but if it is, then you probably shouldn't take a pass on the question 'Are protests, are riots OK?' unless you're a total fraud, like a complete fraud”.
