Maxine Waters To BLM/Antifa: “Get More Confrontational” On “The Street”

This weekend Maxine Waters showed up in Minnesota in an effort to foment the radical there.

She said that if Derek Chauvin is found not guilty for the death of George Floyd then activist must “get more confrontational” on “the street”.

She says:

“we’re looking for a guilty verdict. We’re looking for a guilty verdict. And we’re looking to see if all of this [inaudible] that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd.
If nothing does not happen, then we know, that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice, but I am very hopefully and I hope that we’re going to get a verdict that will say guilty, guilty, guilty. And if we don’t, we cannot go away.”

When asked what “protesters” should do if they do not get the verdict that they want, Waters responded, “Well, we got to stay on the street.”

Kevin McCarthy's response to Waters:

The New York Post Editorial board rightly points out that Waters wants a civil war.

They write:

"There’s been rioting, looting, graffiti — what did Waters mean by “more confrontational?” In Portland, they set fire to an Apple store. They’re trying to take over government buildings.
This isn’t the first time Waters has incited her supporters. In 2018, she told them to harass Trump administration officials. “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she said.
Of course, she’s not around to see the results. After pouring fuel on the fire in Minnesota, she encouraged everyone to keep protesting — though she herself would not be.
Maxine Waters is trying to create a Civil War, and her irresponsible rhetoric is inciting violence. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should strip her of her committee assignments and move for a vote to remove Waters from office."
