Hillary 2024 or Biden/Liz Cheney 2024...Democrat Desperation Begins

We are a year into the Biden-Harris administration and already some Democrats are calling for Hillary Clinton to save them.

While the New York Times Thomas Friedman wants Kamala Harris tossed aside.

Yes, Hillary 2024. Or Biden/Cheney 2024. No joke.

Former Bill Clinton pollster Doug Schoen and along with Andrew Stein, a former New York City Council president, Manhattan borough president, and state assemblyman pen a piece in the Wall Street Journal calling for Hillary in 2024.

They comically write:

“several circumstances—President Biden’s low approval rating, doubts over his capacity to run for re-election at 82, Vice President Kamala Harris’s unpopularity, and the absence of another strong Democrat to lead the ticket in 2024—have created a leadership vacuum in the party, which Mrs. Clinton viably could fill. She is already in an advantageous position to become the 2024 Democratic nominee. She is an experienced national figure who is younger than Mr. Biden and can offer a different approach from the disorganized and unpopular one the party is currently taking.”

Schoen and Stein conclude their piece by arguing that “if Democrats want a fighting chance at winning the presidency in 2024, Mrs. Clinton is likely their best option.”

First off all, would be enjoyable to see Hillary sh*t show run again because Kamala Harris isn’t going anywhere and so the primary would be nasty.

Second of all, Hillary is not popular. She is flat out despised.

Meanwhile, New York Times columnist and frequent cable news guest Thomas Friedman wants a Biden/Liz Cheney ticket in 2024.

Friedman used the example of several opposition groups coming together to form a unity government in Israel, which he likened to the US in terms of going from “Off Broadway to Broadway.”

He writes:

“Is that what America needs in 2024 — a ticket of Joe Biden and Liz Cheney? Or Joe Biden and Lisa Murkowski, or Kamala Harris and Mitt Romney, or Stacey Abrams and Liz Cheney, or Amy Klobuchar and Liz Cheney? Or any other such combination...”
He then quotes Steven Levitsky, a political scientist and co-author of “How Democracies Die,” who he asks “So Biden-Cheney is not such a crazy idea?”.
Levitsky says “we should be ready to talk about Liz Cheney as part of a blow-your-mind Israeli-style fusion coalition with Democrats. It is a coalition that says: ‘There is only one overriding goal right now — that is saving our democratic system.’”

How long before other Democrats start talking about Al Gore & John Kerry running as well.
