Louis CK has been slowly making a comeback to stand-up comedy after admitting to sexual misconduct back in 2017. On Saturday night, he performed a surprise set at the comedy festival Shankfest NYC in Brooklyn.
Some of the jokes he’s tried out on stage in the past – about his own scandal, as well as the Parkland shooting – have been pretty controversial. But you wouldn’t be able to tell from the standing ovation he got at the festival this weekend.
According to the comedian opened his set by addressing the sexual misconduct scandal. Apparently, he told the crowd that you should “ask [someone] first” if you want to pleasure yourself in front of them. “If they say yes, don’t do it!” he added.
