A recent study by an insurance policy shopping platform says Texas is the third most dangerous state to drive through. A survey of data by Assurance IQ says California tops the list with more than 20 fatal crashes per 100 miles of interstate, and Florida comes in second with almost as many. Texas has more than 15 fatal crashes per 100 miles. I-35E, which runs through DFW, is the second deadliest interstate in the nation. In third place is I-45, which extends from Dallas to Galveston.
