Classes are canceled today at Tom Green Elementary School in Buda following a deadly school bus crash on Friday. District officials say a Hays CISD bus was returning from a field trip to the Bastrop Zoo when a concrete truck hit it head-on and caused it to roll over. There were 44 Tom Green preschool students and 11 adults on board the bus. One of the students was killed, along with the driver of a car behind the bus. Another 51 people were injured. Hays CISD officials say counseling services will be available for students and staff.
