Court Extends Hold On Texas immigration Law

A federal appeals court is extending a hold on a Texas law that would give the state the power to arrest migrants suspected of crossing the border illegally. The overnight 2-1 ruling continues a block on the law while litigation continues. The Biden administration is arguing that the federal government has exclusive authority to control immigration policy, regardless of Texas' opinion on how it goes about it. Another hearing is set for April 3rd.
